classes for YOU & baby
Build strength and flexibility through transitions. It’s yoga, tailored to you, during life’s biggest transition. Pre-crawling babies welcome!
About our classes
These classes are for all pregnant bodies at any stage in their pregnancy and bodies who have recently given birth. Each class is tailored to the needs of students and options will be offered for poses.
The class begins with community connection, seated grounding, warm-ups, strengthening standing poses, and restorative cooling poses. It combines gentle stretching, strengthening, and ultimately helps students through this transition in their lives and prepares pregnant bodies for birth and strengthens and rehabilitates postpartum bodies. When babies join us in class, we work to include them in the poses that the parent does, whether on their backs, in arms, or feeding/ sleeping. Space will be given for all students to take breaks as needed, and take care of themselves and their babies.

Since discovering Anusara Yoga in 2007, Ashley’s relationship with mat, breath, and body has been the most consistent, healing, and empowering force in her life. This practice and its teachings have offered her deep refuge, as well as wisdom and inspiration for living an embodied and aligned life. Her college years opened her up to Eastern spirituality, and she graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree rooted in environmental & restorative justice, sustainability, and feminist theory. In 2016, she completed a 200-hr Iyengar-based yoga teacher training with Square One Yoga, and has taken further trauma-informed and Yoga for Youth trainings. She is also a certified massage therapist, and her hands-on experience with Prenatal Massage further informs her teaching pregnant bodies. She would love to support you in your pregnancy journey, on the mat, and help you stay both strong and at ease in your body.

Rachel Lipton is a vinyasa and prenatal yoga instructor and a leadership and holistic wellness coach. She received her 200 RYT in 2010 and prenatal yoga certification in 2023. She believes yoga is for all bodies and all levels, and strives to make classes work for each student. She enjoys holding space for birthing bodies in transition - through pregnancy and as parents. Her classes include a balance of strengthening and restorative poses to leave you feeling refreshed at the end of class. Rachel explores themes that come up in coaching in her yoga instruction; often exploring how we hold dualities - strength and ease, challenge and softening, the expected and unexpected, working with your changing body, and more. When not coaching clients or teaching yoga, you can find Rachel planning her next travel adventure, exploring new places in the Bay Area, or on the hiking trail with her two dogs. You can learn more about Rachel at www.rachelliptoncoaching.com
These classes will allow you to let go and embrace or shift energy to engage with your most authentic self. Focusing on grounded flow poses, conscious somatic movement, and breath work will create more mental space to help you feel energized and release tension.
An invitation to regulate the nervous system and connect more internally with ourselves so we can soften into the body while giving ourselves more space and grace to set clear and beautiful intentions for a more earthed state of being.
